A faction of the Labour Party (LP) led by Nenadi Usman has suspended 26 members said to be loyal to the faction led by Julius Abure.
The announcement was made in a post shared on the faction’s official 𝕏 handle.
According to the statement, the decision was approved by the faction’s National Executive Council.
The suspended members were accused of aligning with the rival group within the party.
The Nenadi Usman-led caretaker committee said it is acting based on a Supreme Court of Nigeria judgment delivered on April 4, 2025.
The court had removed Julius Abure as the National Chairman of the party, a ruling that has continued to affect the leadership dispute in the Labour Party.
