The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has unveiled an updated list of its Convention Committee and sub-committees as preparations intensify for its national convention scheduled for April 14, 2026.
In a statement issued on Sunday in Abuja, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, said the update was designed to improve coordination and ensure a smooth and credible convention process.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the party had earlier constituted its National Convention Central Coordination Committee, appointing Liyel Imoke as Chairman and Aminu Tambuwal as Deputy Chairman.
The ADC urged all appointed committee members to carry out their responsibilities with diligence, while also calling on party stakeholders to support efforts aimed at delivering a successful convention.

The updated list, signed by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Chinedu Idigo, confirmed the approval of members tasked with planning the convention.
“The ADC has approved the nomination of the following persons to serve on the convention planning committee for the national convention to be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2026,” the statement read.
NAN further reported that the updated structure includes 16 sub-committees covering key areas such as logistics, electoral processes, accommodation, venue management, security, finance, media and publicity, as well as delegate accreditation and welfare.
The move signals the party’s readiness to organise a well-structured national convention as it continues to position itself ahead of future political activities.
