Nigerian actor Patrick Doyle has announced the death of his newborn daughter, Omayinuwa Harriet, just a day after her birth.

The actor said the baby was delivered on Friday and had earlier shared news that both his wife, Funmilayo, and the child were doing well.

However, he later confirmed that the situation changed and the baby passed away on Saturday evening around 4:15 p.m.

Doyle explained that the child’s short stay brought happiness to the family despite the painful outcome.

He also shared that the family had hoped for more time with her, but accepted what had happened and leaned on their faith in God for strength.

Before the sad update, he had informed the public that mother and child were in good condition after the delivery, which made the news of the death more painful for family and followers.

Doyle and Funmilayo recently welcomed the child following their marriage, which became public knowledge in 2025.

The actor has faced personal loss before, including the death of his first wife, Rosamond Ndidi Doyle, who died years ago from sickle cell disease.
