Former Minister of State for Finance, Doris Uzoka-Anite has thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for redeploying her to the Federal Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning as Minister of State.

President Bola Tinubu in a minor cabinet reshuffle on Tuesday removed Uzoka-Anite as Finance Minister for State and appointed Chairman of the Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms, Taiwo Oyedele as replacement.

Reacting, Uzoka-Anite in an appreciation message shared on her social media handle on Wednesday, said she feels privileged to take on the new responsibility and promised to continue supporting the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

She also assured Nigerians that she would work hard to deliver clear results in her new position.

The minister congratulated Mr. Taiwo Oyedele on his nomination as Minister of State for Finance.

She wished him success and prayed for a smooth confirmation process as he prepares to assume office.

Uzoka-Anite also stated that she is ready to work closely with the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Abubakar Bagudu, as well as the leadership of the ministry and other stakeholders across the country.

She said their joint efforts would focus on advancing national goals, improving coordination among government agencies, and driving economic growth that benefits citizens in different parts of the federation.

Uzoka-Anite is a Chartered Financial Analyst and has served in several roles related to economic management and financial planning.
