A former Commissioner for Finance in Kano State, Professor Kabiru Isa Dandago, has died.
Professor Dandago passed away on Wednesday evening at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital in Kano State.
His death was confirmed by Lamara Garba, the Director of Information at Bayero University Kano.

Garba announced that the late professor, who specialised in Accounting and Taxation, died after many years of service to Bayero University Kano and the state.
According to the statement, the news of his death brought great sadness to the university community.
Garba also said the professor had recently donated money to a support fund created to assist the families of deceased staff members at the institution.
