President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of four new Permanent Secretaries to fill vacant positions in the Federal Civil Service.

The newly appointed Permanent Secretaries are Warrens Bekearedebo Augusta from Bayelsa State, Jones-Nebo Nkiruka Bella from Enugu State, Aminu Sani Yargaya from Kano State, and Shoretire Ayinda Kamil from Ogun State.

The government said the appointments followed what it described as a rigorous and transparent selection process.

According to the presidency, the appointments align with the administration’s commitment to meritocracy, professionalism, and excellence within the civil service.

Officials also said the new Permanent Secretaries have extensive experience and expertise that will help improve public service delivery and support the government’s development agenda.

Reacting to the development, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Didi Esther Walson-Jack, commended the President for prioritising transparency and professionalism in the civil service.

She said the appointments demonstrate the administration’s commitment to building a competent and results-driven public service.

Walson-Jack added that strengthening the leadership structure of the civil service would improve governance and ensure that public institutions better serve the needs of Nigerians.
