The All Progressives Congress has announced Tuesday, March 24, as the date for screening aspirants contesting for national offices ahead of its upcoming convention.
The party disclosed that the exercise will take place at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja, as preparations intensify for the March 27 National Convention.
In a notice issued on Sunday, the Secretary of the Aspirants’ Screening Committee, Isa Yuguda, stated that only aspirants who have purchased and submitted their Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms will be eligible for screening.
He emphasised that all aspirants must appear in person and come along with all necessary supporting documents for verification, while also urging them to arrive early to ensure a smooth process.
The APC had earlier, in December 2025, released a comprehensive timetable for its 2025/2026 congresses at various levels, including ward, local government, state, and zonal stages, leading up to the national convention.

According to the schedule, the process commenced with membership e-registration on December 1, 2025, and continued until January 30, 2026.
Since then, the party has moved through several phases, including issuing notices for congresses, the sale and submission of nomination forms across all levels, and the screening of aspirants.
Ward, local government, state, and zonal congresses have also been successfully conducted, alongside the resolution of appeals arising from each stage.
These activities are set to culminate in the APC National Convention scheduled to hold from March 25 to March 28, 2026.
