VeryDarkMan Gives His Two Cents About Peller’s Upcoming Wedding

Controversial activist VeryDarkMan (Martins Vincent Otse) has issued a sober new warning to TikTok stars Peller and Jarvis, urging them to reconsider their upcoming wedding, a sharp shift from his earlier celebratory remarks about the union.

In a video message posted to his social media page, VDM cautioned that marriage is not a joke or a form of content creation, insisting the pair needed to think carefully about what they were doing.

He was especially pointed in his message to Peller, telling him directly that he remains a young boy who belongs in school rather than in marriage.

The intervention comes just over a week ahead of the couple’s planned white wedding, scheduled for August 1, 2026. Peller and Jarvis, whose real name is Amadou Elizabeth Aminata, got engaged in June 2026 and went on to hold their traditional wedding in Benin City, Edo State, the following month.

VDM’s latest comments stand in contrast to his reaction just weeks earlier, when he appeared enthusiastic about the couple’s plans.

In an Instagram story shared not long after the wedding announcement, he described the ceremony as one that would be “epic” and said he was genuinely excited for the pair, adding that Peller settling down in his early twenties was something many people had hoped to see.

He had also jokingly asked about securing his own aso-ebi (matching attire) for the event and mused about the kind of English Peller might use while exchanging his vows.

VDM’s more recent comments suggest either a change of heart or a more candid follow-up assessment, though he has not publicly explained the shift.

Interestingly, Jarvis herself has been vocal about the pressures of getting married young and without adequate financial footing.

Speaking during a livestream, she urged young Nigerians not to rush into marriage if they are not financially prepared, and revealed that she and Peller had even considered postponing the wedding themselves because of the financial strain of planning it, though she concluded that delaying it further wouldn’t necessarily make preparation any easier.

She also recommended that couples under similar pressure consider holding their traditional and white weddings in separate years to ease the financial burden.

For his part, Peller has shown little sign of second-guessing the timeline. He has been publicly vocal about his expectations for the big day, reportedly telling musicians in his circle that failure to attend would cost them his patronage, a typically brash remark in keeping with his online persona.

As it stands, neither Peller nor Jarvis has responded directly to VDM’s latest warning, and the wedding remains billed to proceed as planned on August 1, 2026, in what VDM himself once predicted would be nothing short of “an epic comedy.”

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW

VeryDarkMan has publicly urged Peller to delay marriage and prioritize his education, warning that marriage is not a joke or a content creation, despite having earlier expressed excitement about the wedding.

The striking reversal from celebrating the union to openly questioning the couple’s readiness just days before Peller and Jarvis’s white wedding on August 1, 2026, which is still set to go ahead as planned.
