Jigawa State Governor, Umar Namadi, has ordered the indefinite suspension of four political aides over allegations of activities considered contrary to the interests of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

The suspension takes effect immediately and was approved by the governor as part of ongoing actions linked to internal party matters in the state.

The decision was announced in a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Bala Ibrahim.

Those affected are Abbas Makama, the Senior Special Assistant on Flood Control; Salisu Muhammad, popularly known as Rosy Auyo, who serves as Special Assistant on Entrepreneurship; Ibrahim Yunusa, Special Assistant on Basic Education Monitoring; and Umar Abdulkadir, also known as Alhaji Bullet Auyo, Special Assistant on Cluster Farming.

The latest move comes shortly after the APC in Jigawa State took disciplinary action against several members, including a serving member of the House of Representatives, a local government vice chairman, and other party officials over similar allegations.

According to the APC State Publicity Secretary, Bashir Kundi, the suspension of the four aides is connected to the same issues that led to the earlier sanctions within the party.

He explained that the individuals are accused of engaging in actions believed to be against the unity and smooth functioning of the party. The allegations are said to stem from events that occurred on May 26, 2026, in Auyo Local Government Area.

The incident reportedly followed disagreements arising from internal party activities and political developments ahead of future elections.

Party officials said the suspension will remain in place while the APC State Disciplinary Committee carries out its investigation and determines the next course of action.

The development adds to growing efforts by political parties across the country to maintain internal order as preparations for upcoming electoral contests continue.
