Senator Ned Nwoko Shares Cryptic Post as Marital Crisis with Regina Daniels Deepens

Senator Ned Nwoko has added fuel to an already raging public marital dispute with actress Regina Daniels by sharing a pointed social media post that appears to cast his estranged wife as a manipulator, even as their union continues its spectacular collapse in full view of the Nigerian public.

The Delta North Senatorial District lawmaker reshared a message describing how narcissists betray good men and then position themselves as victims, a move widely interpreted as his latest salvo in a bitter war of words that has engulfed the once-glamorous couple since October.

The cryptic post represents the senator’s ongoing effort to control the narrative surrounding their marital breakdown, which has devolved into a messy public spectacle featuring allegations of drug abuse, domestic violence, family arrests, and conflicting accounts of their six-year relationship.

The crisis erupted publicly in mid-October when a viral video showed the 25-year-old Nollywood star in distress, declaring she could no longer tolerate violence in the home. The 64-year-old senator swiftly denied allegations of physical abuse, instead attributing the marital troubles to what he describes as Regina’s struggles with substance addiction.

In his initial response, Nwoko alleged that Regina had engaged in violent behavior during his absence, claiming she assaulted three staff members and damaged property including vehicles and windows over a 48-hour period. He further insisted she required rehabilitation treatment to address drug and alcohol dependencies.

Regina has fiercely contested these characterizations. In an Instagram post, she admitted to past drug use but accused the senator of weaponizing the issue to distract from deeper problems in their marriage. She alleged that Nwoko isolated her from friends and family, and claimed he introduced her to substances to enhance their intimate life.

The conflict has expanded beyond the couple, with Regina accusing Nwoko of using his political influence to have her siblings arrested. Her brother, Samuel “Sammy West” Daniels, was reportedly detained in Lagos before being transferred to Abuja, where he was arraigned and remanded pending bail.

Nwoko claimed he provided substantial financial support to Regina’s family, including N125 million to her mother over two years, and sponsored her brother’s education. He has alleged that Regina’s siblings undermined her rehabilitation efforts by continuing to supply her with substances.

The senator’s latest cryptic social media post suggesting his wife exhibits narcissistic traits comes amid his statements that reconciliation is not his objective. Through his communication team, Nwoko clarified he does not wish for Regina to return to his home, stating his primary concern is her health and urging her to continue therapy.

Adding another layer to the dispute, Regina has claimed they were never legally married in any court of law, stating she would have filed for divorce long ago if a legal marriage existed. The actress, who entered the union at age 18 or 19 in 2019, is Nwoko’s youngest wife in what is understood to be a polygamous arrangement.

The drama has also drawn in Nwoko’s other wife, Laila Charani, who publicly criticized Regina, accusing her of making false claims and alleging she introduced Laila to drugs years ago, charges Regina has vehemently denied.

What began in 2019 as a widely publicized union between the wealthy politician-lawyer and the young Nollywood actress has transformed into what observers are calling a public courtroom drama. Both parties continue to issue lengthy statements and share videos on social media, with each new revelation drawing intense scrutiny and divided public opinion.

As the senator shares cryptic messages about betrayal and narcissism, and Regina fights back against what she characterizes as manipulation and abuse of power, the future of their relationship remains uncertain. The couple shares two children, with Regina having been pregnant with their third child earlier this year.

The ongoing saga has captivated Nigeria’s social media landscape, with millions following each development in real time as two public figures air deeply personal grievances in an increasingly acrimonious dispute.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW

The marriage between Senator Ned Nwoko and actress Regina Daniels has collapsed into a bitter public feud marked by serious allegations from both sides. Nwoko claims Regina has substance abuse issues and became violent toward staff, while Regina accuses him of domestic violence, isolation, and using his political power to have her family members arrested.

What was once a high-profile union between a wealthy 64-year-old politician and a 25-year-old actress has devolved into a messy spectacle of conflicting accusations played out entirely on social media, with each party attempting to shape public opinion while their six-year relationship—which produced two children—falls apart in full view of the Nigerian public. The senator’s latest cryptic post about narcissists is merely his latest attempt to control the narrative in an increasingly acrimonious dispute where the truth remains contested.
