Radda Reshuffles Cabinet, Appoints New Advisers To Strengthen Governance

Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State has announced a major cabinet reshuffle, redeploying key commissioners and appointing two additional special advisers.

The move, which takes immediate effect, aims to enhance coordination, deepen sectoral expertise, and accelerate the implementation of critical programmes across vital sectors including education, health, agriculture, youth development, women empowerment, and social welfare.

Under the new arrangement, Hon. Adnan Nahabu becomes Commissioner for Higher, Vocational, and Technical Education, while Prof. Ahmad Muhammad Bakori transitions from the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development to head the newly established Ministry of Livestock Development.

Hon. Aliyu Zakari Shargalle has been moved from Youth and Sports Development to Agriculture, and Hon. Zainab Musa Musawa now heads the Ministry of Special Duties after serving in Basic and Secondary Education. Hon. Yusuf Suleiman Jibia assumes responsibility for Basic and Secondary Education, while Engr. Surajo Yazid Abukur takes over as Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development.

Additionally, Hajiya Aisha Aminu, former Director-General of the Katsina State Enterprise Development Agency, has been appointed Commissioner for Women Affairs. The governor also approved the appointment of Hajiya Hadiza Yar’adua as Special Adviser on Nutrition and Welfare Services and Isa Muhammad Musa as Special Adviser on Cultural Orientation.

In a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Mohammed, Governor Radda urged all appointees to stay committed to the “Building Your Future” agenda and prioritize service delivery to the people of Katsina State.
