Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umaru Radda, has been discharged from the hospital following a minor road accident he experienced on Sunday while traveling from Katsina to Daura.
The incident occurred in the course of his official responsibilities to the people of the state.
Following medical evaluation, the Governor’s healthcare team gave him a clean bill of health, affirming that he is fit to resume work without any restrictions. This was made known through an official statement released on Tuesday by Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor.
In the statement, Governor Radda extended heartfelt appreciation to citizens of Katsina State, as well as colleagues, friends, and well-wishers from across Nigeria who offered their prayers, moral support, and kind wishes during his brief stay at the hospital. He described the show of love as deeply moving and energizing.
“I am deeply touched by the overwhelming prayers and support from our people. This demonstration of love strengthens my commitment to serving Katsina State with renewed vigour and dedication,” the Governor was quoted as saying.
The statement further noted that Governor Radda is enthusiastic about returning to work and continuing the implementation of his “Building Your Future” agenda, which is aimed at transforming Katsina into a more prosperous and developed state.
Providing further clarification on the incident, the Chief Press Secretary stated that the governor was in stable condition after the accident and did not suffer any major injuries. He also assured the public that Governor Radda remained in high spirits throughout his brief recovery period.
The Governor, reflecting on the events, expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for His protection during the incident and thanked the people of Katsina for their steadfast concern and well wishes.
