Nigerian movie director Dimbo Atiya has died, less than 24 hours after the death of Nollywood actress Temitope Osoba.
VerilyNews gathered that Atiya reportedly died on Thursday morning.

The founder of the Best of Nollywood Awards (BON), Seun Oloketuyi, announced the news on his Instagram page.
He wrote, “Dimba Atiya is dead. The top Nollywood director passed on this morning. Details later.”
Nollywood actor Mofe Duncan also reacted to the news by sharing Atiya’s picture on Instagram.
He wrote: “God no, not Dimbo. I’m devastated. One of the greatest minds of the entertainment industry.”
As of the time of filing this report, the cause of Dimbo Atiya’s death had not been made public.
Meanwhile, the family of Temitope Osoba has dismissed reports claiming that the actress died from complications related to cancer.
The family described the reports circulating online as false and unauthorised.
Osoba died on Tuesday evening shortly after speaking with some of her colleagues on the telephone.
She was also said to have posted “Ogo Tuntun,” a Yoruba expression meaning “new glory,” on her WhatsApp status at about 7:23 p.m. before her death.
After news of her death became public, several social media users and online platforms linked it to her previous battle with breast cancer.
However, in a statement shared on Osoba’s official Instagram account on Thursday, her family rejected the reports about the circumstances surrounding her death.
