In a groundbreaking fusion of music marketing and cutting-edge technology, Grammy Award-winning rapper Cardi B has officially entered the Guinness World Records by orchestrating the most drone deliveries completed within a single hour.

The Bronx-born artist, whose real name is Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, achieved the record on Friday, September 19, 2025, when 176 copies of her highly anticipated new album, “Am I the Drama,” were simultaneously delivered by unmanned aerial vehicles across the sprawling Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area. The feat was accomplished in exactly one hour, surpassing all previous records for drone delivery operations.

The ambitious project represents a first-of-its-kind collaboration between the entertainment industry and drone delivery services, bringing together major corporate partners including retail giant Walmart, Cardi B’s record label Atlantic Records, and Wing Drone Delivery, a subsidiary of Alphabet Inc. that has been pioneering autonomous delivery services across the United States.

“This isn’t just about breaking records,” said a spokesperson for Atlantic Records, who declined to be named. “This represents the future of how artists can connect directly with their fans in real time, anywhere they are.”

The operation required months of planning and coordination with Federal Aviation Administration regulations, given the complexity of managing nearly 200 simultaneous drone flights across one of the nation’s largest metropolitan areas. Wing Drone Delivery, which has been expanding its services in the Dallas-Fort Worth region since 2022, provided the technological infrastructure and regulatory expertise necessary to execute the record-breaking delivery.

Guinness World Records confirmed the achievement on their official X (formerly Twitter) platform, writing, “Most deliveries by UAV drones in one hour: 176, by @iamcardib, @AtlanticRecords, @Wing, & @Walmart at multiple locations today across the Dallas-Fort Worth region, Texas, USA.”

The record-breaking event transforms what could have been a traditional album release into a technological spectacle, with selected fans across the region receiving their copies via small, white drones that descended from the sky directly to their doorsteps. Each delivery was tracked and verified by Guinness World Records officials stationed throughout the metropolitan area.

For Walmart, the partnership represents another step in the company’s ongoing investment in drone delivery technology. The Arkansas-based retailer has been testing drone deliveries in several markets as it seeks to compete with Amazon’s similar initiatives in last-mile delivery services.

Cardi B, known for chart-topping hits like “WAP,” “Up,” and “I Like It,” has consistently pushed boundaries in both her music and marketing strategies throughout her career. Her previous albums, including the Grammy-winning “Invasion of Privacy” (2018) and “WAP” (2020), broke numerous streaming records and solidified her position as one of hip-hop’s most influential voices.

“Am I the Drama” marks the rapper’s third studio album and her first major release since 2020. Early reviews suggest the album continues her signature blend of aggressive rap flows, pop sensibilities, and unfiltered commentary on fame, relationships, and social issues.

The drone delivery record comes at a time when the music industry continues to grapple with changing consumer habits and the ongoing decline of physical album sales. By combining traditional album releases with innovative delivery methods, industry experts suggest Cardi B may have identified a new model for artist-fan engagement that could influence future marketing strategies across the entertainment sector.

The success of Friday’s operation may signal broader implications for both the music and logistics industries, as companies explore novel applications for drone technology beyond traditional package delivery. As drone capabilities continue to advance and regulatory frameworks evolve, similar high-profile collaborations between entertainment figures and technology companies could become increasingly common.

The Dallas-Fort Worth region was selected for the record attempt due to its size, Wing’s established operations in the area, and favorable weather conditions that allowed for safe drone operations across the expansive metropolitan area.

As the music industry continues its digital transformation, Cardi B’s latest achievement demonstrates how artists are increasingly willing to embrace emerging technologies to create unique experiences for their audiences while generating significant media attention for their releases.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW

Cardi B just rewrote the playbook for album launches by setting a Guinness World Record with 176 drone deliveries in one hour across Dallas-Fort Worth on September 19, 2025.

This isn’t just a marketing stunt—it’s the first time a musician has tied a world record to an album release, signaling how artists are embracing cutting-edge technology to directly connect with fans.

The collaboration between Cardi B, Walmart, Atlantic Records, and Wing Drone Delivery for her new album, “Am I the Drama,” represents a glimpse into the future of entertainment marketing, where physical music delivery meets autonomous technology to create unprecedented fan experiences.
