The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released the results of its primary elections for Senate and House of Representatives seats in Plateau State, naming its flagbearers for various constituencies ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The announcement was made on Tuesday night in Jos by Mrs Stella Oketete, Chairperson of the APC Primary Election Committee for Plateau State.
According to Oketete, the exercise was conducted peacefully and in a transparent manner across the state’s senatorial districts and federal constituencies, with party stakeholders commending the orderly nature of the process.
She disclosed that the party successfully selected candidates for all key legislative positions, including both senatorial and House of Representatives slots.

For the House of Representatives, the APC primaries produced Beni Lar as the candidate for Langtang North/Langtang South Federal Constituency. Dachung Bagos emerged for Jos South/Jos East, while Abubakar Shaibu secured the ticket for Jos North/Bassa Federal Constituency.
Others declared winners include Yusuf Gagdi for Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam, Ishaya Lalu for Mangu/Bokkos, Dalyop Fom for Barkin Ladi/Riyom, Joe Dashe for Mikang/Qua’an Pan/Shendam, and Idris Wase for Wase Federal Constituency.
In the senatorial category, the committee announced Sen. Simon Lalong as the APC candidate for Plateau South Senatorial District. David Barji was declared the party’s candidate for Plateau Central, while Simon Mwadkwon emerged for Plateau North Senatorial District.
Mrs Oketete commended Governor Caleb Mutfwang for what she described as his cooperation and support, which she said contributed to the smooth conduct of the primaries across the state.
The APC stated that the outcome of the exercise reflects its internal democratic process as it prepares for the 2027 general elections.
