State Commissioner Dies
Adamawa State Commissioner for Agriculture, Professor David Jatau, has died after a brief illness.
The state government announced his death through a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, Humwashi Wonosikou.
According to the statement, Jatau passed away in Abuja after falling ill. Details about the illness and funeral arrangements were not disclosed.
Before his death, the commissioner led several programmes aimed at improving agriculture across Adamawa State.
His work focused on increasing food production, supporting farmers and promoting food security in the state.
Governor Ahmadu Fintiri described the late commissioner as a committed government official who served the state with dedication.
He said Jatau combined his academic knowledge with public service and worked to improve the agricultural sector for the benefit of the people.
The governor also praised the late professor for his integrity, experience and commitment to duty, noting that his contributions to agriculture and public service would be remembered.
