The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Nasarawa State has suspended its State Chairman, Adamu Bako Ninga, over allegations of misconduct and actions said to be against the party.

The decision was taken on March 25, 2026, during a meeting of the party’s State Working Committee after members reviewed issues related to his leadership and conduct.

In a letter issued by the State Secretary, Kafas D. Kaura, the party said the suspension followed several actions and failures that do not comply with its constitution.

According to the party, Ninga was accused of leaking internal information to rival groups, running the party in a harsh manner, and making important decisions without consulting other members of the State Working Committee.

He was also accused of failing to convene important meetings and participating in activities believed to be harmful to the party’s interests.

The PDP stated that the suspension will last for one month while a disciplinary panel investigates the allegations and decides the next step.

The committee also directed Ninga to hand over all party property in his possession to the deputy chairman immediately.

The party added that the action was taken in accordance with its constitution, noting that further decisions will be made after the investigation is completed.
