The Inspector General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has directed the posting of several Commissioners of Police to different commands and departments .
The reshuffle moves Commissioner of Police Haruna Alaba Yahaya to Jigawa State Command, while Commissioner of Police Olugbenga Ayodeji Abimbola has been assigned to Oyo State Command.
Commissioner of Police Yemi John Oyeniyi now leads Delta State Command, and Commissioner of Police Olubode Ojajuni takes charge of Ogun State Command.
Commissioner of Police Michael Adegoroye Falade has been posted to Ekiti State, and Commissioner of Police Yakubu Useni Dankaro will serve in Adamawa State Command.
Commissioner of Police Umar Ali Fagge assumes leadership in Katsina State, and Commissioner of Police Hayatu Shaffa Hassan is now at Sokoto State Command.
Other postings include Commissioner of Police Muhammed Sanusi Ahmed to the Federal Capital Territory Command, Commissioner of Police Olatunji Olaiwola Fatai to Lagos State Command, and Commissioner of Police Morkwap S. Dongshal to Taraba State Command.
Commissioner of Police Aina Adesola has been moved to the Training Department at Force Headquarters, while Commissioner of Police Betty Enekpen Otimenyin now heads Welfare at the headquarters.
The Inspector General of Police also directed several Commissioners of Police to specialized roles.
Commissioner of Police Akan Ezima has been posted as Director of the Nigeria Police Force National Counter Terrorism Center in Abuja, Commissioner of Police Abbas Sule to the Special Protection Unit, and Commissioner of Police Ajo Geoffrey Ordue to the International Criminal Police Organization headquarters.
Commissioner of Police Moses Ashu Otta will oversee Special Weapons and Tactics operations in Abuja, and Commissioner of Police Eloho E. Okpoziakpo now leads the Special Fraud Unit in Ikoyi, Lagos.
Commissioner of Police Rebecca Uchenna Okereke has been appointed Director of Music at Force Headquarters.
The Inspector General of Police charged all officers to apply their experience effectively, maintain professionalism, and ensure discipline in their new assignments as the police force continues efforts to improve its operational efficiency nationwide.
