Drake has broken Michael Jackson’s record for the most No. 1 singles by a solo male artist on the Billboard Hot 100, with “Janice STFU” topping the chart following his triple-album release on May 15.
The chart-topper gives Drake his 14th No. 1, drawing level with Rihanna and Taylor Swift among all acts. Only Mariah Carey (19) and The Beatles (20) remain ahead.
The week’s dominance extended far beyond a single hit. Drake placed 42 songs on the Hot 100 simultaneously, a record, surpassing Morgan Wallen’s previous mark of 37 set in 2025. He also held nine of the chart’s top 10 spots, with Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” the sole intruder at No. 5.
On the albums chart, history was made again. Iceman, Habibti, and Maid of Honour debuted at Nos. 1, 2, and 3 on the Billboard 200, making Drake the first artist in the chart’s 70-year history to simultaneously occupy all three positions.
Iceman alone opened with 463,000 equivalent album units, the biggest R&B/hip-hop week of 2026.
The milestone also made Drake the first artist to register more than 400 career Hot 100 entries, with 90 career top-10 hits to his name.
Spotify and Apple Music confirmed that the triple-drop made Drake the most-streamed artist in a single day of 2026. The streaming public, it seems, had not forgotten Drizzy; they had simply been waiting
The achievement marks a powerful commercial comeback following Drake’s public feud with Kendrick Lamar, and with Mariah Carey’s record now in his crosshairs, it may only be the beginning.
