Aminu Dantata, Prominent Business Tycoon and Philanthropist, Dies at 94

Respected Kano industrialist and elder statesman, Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata, has died at the age of 94.

The renowned businessman passed away in the early hours of Saturday in Abuja. His death was confirmed by his Principal Private Secretary, Mustapha Junaid, in a heartfelt post shared via Facebook.

“Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi rajiun… It is with heavy heart that I announce the passing of our beloved father Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata,” Junaid wrote, praying for Allah’s mercy upon the deceased and his admittance into Jannatul Firdaus.

Details of the funeral rites (Janazah) are expected to be announced in due course.

Alhaji Aminu Dantata was one of Nigeria’s most prominent northern businessmen and philanthropists. A pillar in the Dantata family legacy, he played a significant role in commerce and community development in Kano and beyond.
