Former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, has denied reports claiming that he has left the party to join the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).
Ganduje said the reports are false and have no political or logical basis, insisting that he remains a loyal member of the APC.
The former APC chairman made this known in a statement issued by his former Commissioner for Information and Chief of Staff, Muhammad Garba.
He described as false and politically motivated the posters circulating on social media, which claim that he has defected from the ruling party.
According to Ganduje, “The claims were part of a deliberate misinformation campaign aimed at misleading the public, creating confusion among APC supporters, and generating unnecessary political speculation.”
He also said the APC remains Nigeria’s largest political party and continues to attract more supporters under the leadership of President Bola Tinubu.
Ganduje reaffirmed his commitment to working with the party’s leadership to support the implementation of President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
The former APC national chairman further disclosed that those responsible for producing and circulating the alleged defection posters have been identified. He warned that legal action would be taken if the posters are not withdrawn and the spread of the claims does not stop immediately.
He urged APC members, supporters and the general public to ignore the posters, stressing that they do not represent his political position or intentions.
