The Secretary to the Ondo State Government, Taiwo Fasoranti, has resigned from his position to pursue his ambition of representing the Ondo Central Senatorial District in the Senate ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Fasoranti disclosed his intention in a formal letter addressed to Lucky Aiyedatiwa, where he also confirmed his exit from the state executive council.
In the letter titled “Expression of Interest to Contest for the Senate, Ondo Central Senatorial District,” he explained that his decision was driven by a deep sense of responsibility, a lifelong dedication to public service, and strong belief in the potential of the people within the district.
A medical practitioner by profession, Fasoranti highlighted over three decades of experience in the health sector and public service. He referenced his tenure at the State House Medical Centre in Abuja, where he rose to a directorate position before retiring in 2024. He also pointed to his contributions in health administration and his recent role as SSG in Ondo State.
According to him, these experiences have equipped him with valuable knowledge in governance, policy execution, and service delivery, which he intends to apply if elected into the Senate.

Fasoranti emphasized his commitment to people-focused leadership, noting that governance must be inclusive, practical, and impactful. He expressed his determination to ensure that the voices of constituents are effectively represented and translated into tangible outcomes at the national level.
He also underscored his involvement in humanitarian and professional initiatives, stating that these engagements have strengthened his resolve to improve lives and build sustainable systems.
Appealing directly to residents of Ondo Central Senatorial District, including Ondo West, Ondo East, Ifedore, Akure South, Akure North, and Idanre—he sought their support for his aspiration, promising purposeful representation anchored on development and shared progress.
He stated, “As I step forward in this journey, I do so with a clear vision to provide purposeful representation, listen to the aspirations of our people, and translate those aspirations into meaningful action.”
Fasoranti assured constituents that under his leadership, their voices would be transformed into measurable and impactful results.
