The All Progressives Congress has re-elected Isaac Kekemeke as its South-West Zonal Chairman during its zonal congress held in Lagos State.
Kekemeke, alongside seven other zonal executive members, emerged through a consensus arrangement at the congress, which took place at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena.

Chairman of the Zonal Congress Committee, Jide Jimoh, disclosed that a total of 1,398 delegates from across the South-West region were accredited for the exercise. The delegates were drawn from Oyo, Ondo, Osun, Ogun, Ekiti, and Lagos states.
Providing a breakdown, Jimoh said Lagos had 337 accredited delegates, Ondo recorded 245, Oyo had 243, Osun accounted for 156, Ekiti had 211, while Ogun recorded 206 delegates.
Following the consensus arrangement, the chairman conducted a voice vote before confirming the election of the zonal executive members.
Those elected unopposed include Alfred Aluko as Secretary, Ismail Majaro as Legal Adviser, Lateef Ibirogba as Organising Secretary, and Ayobami Afolabi as Publicity Secretary.
Other members of the executive are Oyetunde Adesanya as Woman Leader, Daramola Adesuyi as Youth Leader, and Dayo Ishola representing Persons With Disability.

Jimoh described the exercise as historic, praising the South-West region for its strong leadership tradition. He commended delegates for ensuring a smooth and successful congress and urged the newly elected executives to work towards strengthening the party.
Speaking on behalf of South-West governors, Babajide Sanwo-Olu said the congress set a standard that could be replicated across the country. He appreciated the delegates for their patience, loyalty, and commitment to the party, and also commended the organising committee for delivering a credible process.
According to him, the APC remains a party guided by constitutional rules and internal discipline.
Congratulating the new zonal leadership, Sanwo-Olu expressed confidence that the team would steer the party to victory in the 2027 general elections.
Responding on behalf of the executives, Kekemeke thanked party leaders for entrusting them with the responsibility of leading the zone. He assured that the team would work towards securing victories in upcoming governorship elections in Ekiti and Osun states.

The congress was attended by key stakeholders, including governors such as Dapo Abiodun, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, and Biodun Oyebanji, as well as the APC governorship candidate in Osun, Bola Oyebamiji.
Other prominent figures present included Lagos State Deputy Governor Kadri Hamzat, Ondo State Deputy Governor Olayide Adelami, and former governors Niyi Adebayo and Olusegun Osoba.
Lawmakers, party leaders, and other stakeholders from across the region also attended the congress.
