Amanda Anisimova clinched the China Open title after defeating Linda Noskova 6-0, 2-6, 6-2 on Sunday, marking her second trophy of a breakthrough year and the fourth of her career.

The third-seeded American endured a shaky second set but regained dominance to overpower the Czech 26th seed in one hour and 46 minutes in Beijing. Her triumph came nearly a month after reaching the US Open final, where she lost to world number one Aryna Sabalenka.

At 24, Anisimova becomes the third American to win the China Open, joining last year’s champion Coco Gauff and tennis legend Serena Williams. Overwhelmed with emotion, she collapsed to the hard court, lying on her back with her hands over her face after match point.

Anisimova’s start was ruthless, she swept the first set in just 23 minutes without conceding a game. Noskova fought back in the second set, breaking early and racing to a 5-2 lead before closing it out. In the final set, both players traded blows until Anisimova broke for a 4-2 lead and sealed the match with a winner on her first match point.

Currently ranked world number four, Anisimova has enjoyed an exceptional season, finishing as runner-up at Wimbledon and now adding a major title in Beijing. Just a year ago, she was ranked No. 43. Her path to the China Open crown included a dominant semi-final victory over second seed Coco Gauff, whom she defeated 6-1, 6-2 in under an hour.

Noskova, ranked world number 27, played in her first WTA 1000 final, capping an impressive run despite falling short in the championship match.
