President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to return to Abuja on Tuesday, September 16, after concluding his annual work vacation abroad.
The announcement was made in a statement on Monday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga. According to him, Tinubu is returning to Nigeria 11 days after departing for France, where he began his holiday.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has concluded his work vacation ahead of schedule and will return to Abuja on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, to resume official duties,” Onanuga said.
The president left Nigeria on September 4, with initial plans to split his holiday between France and the United Kingdom. However, his return comes earlier than expected.

While in Paris, Tinubu held a private luncheon with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace. Both leaders discussed bilateral cooperation in critical sectors and pledged to deepen relations to advance prosperity and global stability.
The president’s return signals the resumption of official engagements in Abuja after his short working holiday.
