President Bola Tinubu on Friday arrived in Ibadan, Oyo State, for the installation of former governor Rashidi Ladoja as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.
Tinubu’s convoy reached the city at about 2:25 p.m., where he was received by Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde. He was accompanied by Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji, and Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke.

The President departed Abuja earlier in the day, leaving the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport at 12:45 p.m. before proceeding to Ibadan for the coronation.
The grand installation ceremony, taking place at the historic Mapo Hall, brings together top political leaders, royal fathers, and dignitaries across the country.
Ladoja’s ascension follows the passing of the 43rd Olubadan, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, who died on July 7, 2025.
