Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has confirmed her membership of the Peoples Democratic Party, calling on Nigerians, especially young people and party supporters, to follow suit.

The lawmaker made the announcement via her verified social media platforms, revealing that she successfully completed the process through the party’s electronic registration portal.

Describing the PDP as Nigeria’s strongest opposition platform, she emphasised the importance of widespread participation to strengthen democratic engagement and inclusiveness across the country.

“The domain for PDP e-registration is now secure. I have validated my membership—do yours too. Register now. It is simple and easy,” she stated.

Akpoti-Uduaghan urged Nigerians, particularly the youth, to take advantage of the digital registration initiative to formally affiliate with the party and actively contribute to shaping Nigeria’s political future.

Her move aligns with ongoing efforts by the PDP leadership to digitise its membership database and enhance grassroots involvement ahead of upcoming political activities.

She also reaffirmed her loyalty to the party’s principles, stressing that active participation by members remains vital for strengthening opposition politics and ensuring accountability in governance.

The PDP recently launched its electronic registration system to simplify membership enrolment and validation, allowing Nigerians both at home and in the diaspora to register seamlessly online.

What you should know

The PDP’s e-registration initiative is part of a broader strategy to modernise its internal processes and expand its membership base ahead of future elections.

By moving registration online, the party aims to increase accessibility, particularly for youths and Nigerians in the diaspora.

Akpoti-Uduaghan’s endorsement of the platform signals support from key party figures and may encourage wider adoption among supporters seeking to participate more actively in Nigeria’s democratic process.
