The governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Oyo State, Taofeek Adegoke, has come under criticism after a video showing him sharing boiled corn with supporters surfaced online.
In the video, Adegoke was seen stopping at a roadside stall to buy and eat freshly boiled corn. He was dressed in a green traditional outfit and wore a green cap branded with the ADC logo.
As he shared the corn, several supporters gathered around him, stretching out their hands to receive it. Some repeatedly called him “Mr Governor,” while others chanted slogans in support of his governorship ambition.
The video has generated mixed reactions on X, with many users questioning the public display as the election approaches.
One user, @OBIMOVEMENT49JA, wrote, “Has he been eating corn publicly when it wasn’t election period. He probably has been eating breakfast in turkey and French. He should go and sit down. If they ask him the real issues OYO state is facing will he be able to answer it correctly?”
