Amara Okafor, daughter of prominent televangelist Pastor Chris Okafor, is preparing to file criminal charges against her father for alleged physical assault, according to claims made by actress Doris Ogala.

The allegations surfaced amid an escalating public feud between Pastor Okafor, founder of Grace Nation Bible Ministry, and Ogala, who has leveled serious accusations against the clergyman spanning several weeks.

The controversy began in December when Ogala publicly accused Pastor Okafor of failing to honor an alleged marriage promise following what she described as an eight-year intimate relationship. The actress also claimed the pastor had engaged in sexual relationships with married members of his congregation.

Pastor Okafor responded to these allegations by having Ogala arrested. Following her release from police detention, the actress claimed she rejected a reported $10,000 settlement offer from the pastor after what she described as a private encounter at the police station.

In a dramatic escalation posted to her Instagram account Friday, Ogala alleged that Amara Okafor is now prepared to pursue legal action against her father for what she characterized as a violent assault. Sharing multiple videos purporting to show evidence of the alleged attack, Ogala claimed the incident occurred after Amara confronted her father about bringing married church members to their home.

According to Ogala’s account, the alleged assault included stabbing and beating, during which she claims the pastor stripped his daughter naked. “How can a father do this to his own daughter?” Ogala wrote in her post, describing the alleged incident as “attempted murder.”

Ogala further claimed that Amara witnessed what she termed “atrocities” at the family residence, including the presence of various church members. She specifically referenced an incident involving “the mother of his current wife,” suggesting surveillance footage may exist.

“THANK GOD AMARA IS READY TO PRESS CHARGES NOW,” Ogala declared in her post.

As of this report, Pastor Chris Okafor has not publicly responded to these latest allegations involving his daughter. The Grace Nation Bible Ministry, known for its television broadcasts and large congregation, has not issued an official statement.

Legal experts note that if charges are filed, the case would involve both domestic violence and potentially more serious criminal assault charges. Nigerian law enforcement authorities have not confirmed whether any formal complaint has been lodged.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW

Amara Okafor, daughter of Pastor Chris Okafor of Grace Nation Bible Ministry, is reportedly preparing to press charges against her father for alleged physical assault. This development emerges amid a bitter public dispute between the pastor and actress Doris Ogala, who has accused him of breaking marriage promises and sexual misconduct with church members.

Ogala claims the assault on Amara involved stabbing and beating after she confronted her father about bringing married church members home. If filed, the charges could mark a serious legal and reputational crisis for one of Nigeria’s prominent televangelists.
