Veteran Nollywood actress and award-winning filmmaker, Omoni Oboli, has opened up about the foundation and principles that have kept her marriage to Nnamdi Oboli strong for over two decades.
In a heartfelt and insightful interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, the mother of three reflected on the intentional decisions she and her husband made before tying the knot — particularly one that has remained the cornerstone of their union: eliminating divorce as an option.
“Staying married for over two decades. First things first, you have to decide. It’s a decision. From day one, we decided that divorce was not an option even before we got married,” she said, adding that this shared commitment gave them the resolve to weather even the most turbulent seasons, including their challenging first year together.
Omoni further emphasized the role of forgiveness in sustaining a healthy and lasting relationship. According to her, the ability to forgive is essential for marital longevity.
