Alhaji Chief Abdul-Hameed Adetunji Olanihun, who served as the Asaju Olubadan of Ibadanland in Oyo State, has died.
His death was made public by Akin Akinwale, a former youth leader of the Oyo Central Senatorial District and a member of the All Progressives Congress in Oyo State.
He shared the news on social media, though he did not give details on what led to the traditional chief’s passing.
Olanihun was a respected figure in the Olubadan traditional system in Ibadan.
His passing has led to reactions from Nigerians online, where many sent condolences and reflected on his role in the community.
Following his death, attention has turned to changes in the Olubadan succession line.
