The Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, has called on royal fathers, youth leaders, and women leaders to promote peace in their communities, stating that the region needs peace to develop.

Speaking at a training session in Port Harcourt, NDDC Managing Director Chief Samuel Ogbuku highlighted the importance of conflict resolution and collaboration among stakeholders. The event, titled “Inclusive Approach to Conflict Management and Transformative Dispute Resolution,” was organized by the Department of Dispute and Conflict Resolution (DCR).

Ogbuku stressed that as an interventionist agency, the NDDC is committed to fostering peace in the oil-rich region, as development cannot thrive in an atmosphere of conflict. He urged all stakeholders to strengthen cooperation to ensure long-term stability and growth in the Niger Delta.
