Members of the Lagos State House of Assembly have passed a vote of confidence in the Speaker, Princess Mojisola Meranda, affirming their support for her continued leadership.
The motion was moved by Oladipo Ajomale, a lawmaker representing Oshodi/Isolo 2, who stated that the Speaker, having been duly elected, was the right leader to guide the House at this critical time. The motion was seconded by Aro Moshood, another lawmaker, and received overwhelming support from the remaining 34 lawmakers present.
The vote of confidence was also supported by all the staff of the Assembly, who demonstrated their solidarity with the Speaker.
Following the motion, the House adjourned its sitting until further notice.
