The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has removed 23 Computer-Based Test centres from its list and issued warnings to 89 others after reviewing the 2026 Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.
The update was made public on Friday, April 10, 2026, through a statement released by the board’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin.
The mock exam, which is organised to help candidates get used to the computer-based testing system, was also used by the board to check how prepared the centres are.
It helped JAMB find centres that failed to meet the expected technical and operational standards.
Following the review, the board decided to delist centres that did not perform well and warned others to improve before the main examination.
JAMB said the move is part of its effort to keep the examination process clean and ensure that only centres that are fully ready take part in the UTME.
The delisted centres include: Micben Seat of Wisdom Academy ICT Hall in Ukwa West, Abia State; Bishop Crowther Seminary CBT Centre in Awka and The Oracle Lens in Nnokwa, both in Anambra State; Derby’s Young ICT Centre in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State; Avid ICT Solutions in Asaba, Brightfield School CBT in Ekpan, and Conarina Maritime Academy in Abraka, all in Delta State.
