Speaking in a candid sit-down with media personality Rufai Oseni, Blaqbonez, born Emeka Akumefule, traced the origin of the beef back to a romantic entanglement he describes as a “friends with benefits” situation, one he was careful to note was never made official.
According to his account, he and Odumodublvck had previously enjoyed a cordial relationship before both became interested in the same woman around 2023, with both men making moves toward her at the same time.
Trouble began, Blaqbonez says, when the woman contacted his manager threatening to “destroy” his career, followed by a tense phone call in which Odumodublvck directly accused him of “disturbing his babe.”

Pressed on the details in his interview with Oseni, Blaqbonez described a three-way phone call in which Odumodublvck directly asked whether he’d been intimate with the woman a question he says he initially avoided answering, only to later confirm, while the woman herself denied any involvement with him.
He was careful throughout to frame his own conduct as an attempt to stay out of a dispute that wasn’t his to referee, repeatedly stressing that he had no knowledge of Odumodublvck’s connection to the woman when his own relationship with her began.
