The All Progressives Congress has unveiled a revised timetable and schedule of activities for the 2027 general elections, outlining key dates for screening, primaries, appeals, and other internal processes.
The notice, issued from the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja, was signed by the National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu, and confirmed by the National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka.

According to the party, the timetable aligns with the provisions of the 1999 Constitution (as amended), the Electoral Act 2026, and the schedule released by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
“In accordance with the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (as amended), the Electoral Act 2026, and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Revised Timetable and Schedule of Activities for the 2027 General Elections, the All Progressives Congress (APC) hereby releases its revised Timetable and Schedule of Activities for the Elections,” the statement read.
The party disclosed that the sale of Expression of Interest and Nomination forms will take place between April 25 and May 2, 2026, while submission of completed forms will close on May 4.
Screening of aspirants is scheduled for May 6 to May 9, covering candidates for State Houses of Assembly, House of Representatives, Senate, governorship, and presidential positions.
Appeals arising from the screening process for State Assembly and House of Representatives aspirants will be heard between May 12 and May 13.
Primary elections are set to begin on May 15, starting with the House of Representatives, and will proceed through Senate, State Assembly, governorship, and presidential contests, concluding on May 23, 2026.
The party also released the fees for aspirants seeking various offices. Expression of Interest and Nomination forms range from ₦6 million for State Assembly positions to ₦100 million for the presidential ticket.
It added that female aspirants, youths, and persons living with disabilities will receive concessions, paying for the Expression of Interest form and only 50 percent of the Nomination fee.

The APC further directed that all payments be made through designated bank accounts provided by the party, emphasising full compliance with its financial procedures.
The revised timetable comes as political parties across the country intensify preparations for the 2027 elections, with the APC stating that the adjustments are intended to ensure smoother coordination and efficiency in its nationwide primary process.
