The Speaker of the Kebbi State House of Assembly, Muhammad Usman Ankwai, has died.
He reportedly died in Egypt on Monday after a brief illness.
Ankwai, who represented the Zuru constituency, was elected Speaker of the 10th Assembly on June 8, 2023.
He was a well-known figure in the politics of Kebbi State and served as the Speaker of the State Assembly.
Before his death, he had travelled to Egypt to seek medical treatment for an illness that was not disclosed.
