An Israeli advocacy group campaigning for the release of hostages in Gaza has called for US President Donald Trump to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, praising his “determination to bring peace” to the region.
In a letter sent to the Norwegian Nobel Committee on Monday, the Hostages and Missing Families Forum said Trump had “made possible what many said was impossible.”

“We strongly urge you to award President Trump the Nobel Peace Prize because he has vowed he will not rest and will not stop until every last hostage is back home,” the group said in a statement referencing the letter.
“At this very moment, President Trump’s comprehensive plan to release all remaining hostages and finally end this terrible war is on the table,” it added.

The forum further stated, “In this past year, no leader or organisation has contributed more to peace around the world than President Trump.”
The appeal comes as Israel and Hamas begin high-stakes negotiations in Egypt, based on a 20-point peace plan announced by Trump last week.
While Trump has openly expressed his desire to win the Nobel Peace Prize, experts believe his chances remain slim. The US president has claimed to have “resolved six or seven wars in as many months,” a statement analysts widely regard as exaggerated.

The Hostages and Missing Families Forum, an Israeli advocacy group representing families of captives in Gaza, is urging the Nobel Committee to recognize President Donald Trump for his proposed peace efforts.
Trump’s 20-point plan seeks to end the Israel-Hamas war and secure the release of remaining hostages, though experts question both his claims and the plan’s feasibility.
