The Zamfara State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has extended an open-arm invitation to Governor Dauda Lawal and other reputable politicians in the state to join its ranks in preparation for the 2027 general elections.

State Chairman of the ADC, Kabiru Garba, appealed during a press briefing held in Gusau on Friday. According to him, the party has already recorded significant growth, welcoming more than 100 new members from various political backgrounds within just ten days.

He described the influx as a clear indicator of the party’s growing influence and credibility within the state.

“As I am speaking now, over 100 members from various political parties have so far defected to the ADC in Zamfara within the last ten days,” Garba revealed to reporters.

Garba said he was confident that more politicians from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) would soon make the move to join the ADC. He stressed that the party remains committed to attracting individuals with solid political values and a history of integrity.

“We are appealing to credible politicians who have a good record of political integrity to join the ADC. All we need is credibility,” he noted.

The chairman reaffirmed the readiness of the ADC’s leadership to steer the party toward electoral victory in 2027. He said the party’s leadership structure is strong, focused, and aligned with a forward-thinking manifesto aimed at tackling the core developmental issues in Zamfara and beyond.

“We are ready to lead this party to success in 2027. We are capable, and our party’s manifesto is tailored toward the development of Zamfara and the nation as a whole,” he declared.

Garba went on to describe the ADC as an inclusive political platform that embraces forward-looking leaders who are dedicated to initiating meaningful change.

“The ADC in Zamfara would be glad to welcome His Excellency, Governor Dauda Lawal, if he chooses to join our party,” he concluded, signaling the party’s openness to working with the state’s current leadership if their paths align.

The ADC in Zamfara is intensifying its grassroots consolidation and welcoming defectors from major political parties as it builds momentum for 2027.

The invitation to Governor Lawal highlights the party’s strategy of aligning with credible leaders to strengthen its position as a serious contender in the state’s political landscape.
