Users of X, formerly known as Twitter, are currently facing a major outage that has rendered both the website and mobile app inaccessible.
The disruption began around 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 24, with outage tracker DownDetector.co.uk reporting a massive spike in user complaints—from just 66 to over 11,000 within minutes. Reports peaked at approximately 1:39 p.m., indicating the widespread nature of the issue.
This is the second major outage on the Elon Musk-owned platform in just a few days. Users have taken to other social media platforms to express frustration, with many questioning the stability of the service under its new ownership.
X has yet to issue an official statement regarding the cause of the repeated outages or a timeline for restoration.
