President Bola Tinubu has approved an increase in salaries for members of Nigeria’s armed forces.

The announcement came during an interfaith breaking of fast with Service Chiefs at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

Tinubu stated that his administration will address the welfare and housing needs of military personnel.

He noted that many soldiers often serve far from their families and face dangers from criminal and terrorist activities.

The president reassured that their dedication to the country will be recognized and supported.

During the event, Tinubu also spoke about the importance of national unity and the value of interfaith gatherings.

He described the joint breaking of fast as a sign of togetherness and respect for Nigeria’s diversity.

He assured the military leadership that opportunities for their families and improvements in living conditions will be a priority for his government.

The salary increase is part of ongoing efforts to support the armed forces and ensure that personnel feel valued while carrying out their duties to protect the nation’s sovereignty.
