Nigerian comedian Anita Asuoha, known as Real Warri Pikin, has won the Best Stand-Up Comedian award at the 2026 African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA), one of the biggest platforms celebrating African talent in the diaspora.
The comedian broke the news to her legion of followers on Instagram on Sunday, sharing her excitement over the win with a simple but triumphant caption: “We won #afrimma Best Stand-up Comedian 2026.”
The award was presented at the star-studded AFRIMMA ceremony held on Saturday, September 12, at Annette Strauss Square, within the AT&T Performing Arts Centre precinct in Dallas, Texas, a venue that has become something of a pilgrimage site for African entertainers and their fans in North America.

She first came into the public eye in 2008 as a contestant in the Globacom Rock ‘N’ Rule dance competition, which she won, before being named a Globacom ambassador the following year.
