The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has confirmed the arrest of seven suspects for engaging in illegal dealings in petroleum products.
This was disclosed in a statement posted on the Corps’ official X handle on Friday. According to the post, the operation was carried out by the Commandant General’s Special Intelligence Squad.
In addition to the arrests, the operation also led to the sealing of five suspected illegal oil dumps and the impounding of several trucks reportedly laden with petroleum products of questionable origin.
The post reads, “Continuous Fight Against Illegal Dealings in Petroleum Products: NSCDC Commandant General’s Special Intelligence Squad arrests seven suspects, seals five suspected illegal oil dumps, and Impounds several Tltrucks laden with Suspected Petroleum Products.”
