The Chairman of the Lagos State Joint Negotiating Council (JNC), Domingo Michael Adeleke, has died while attending the International Labour Conference in Geneva.
Adeleke, who was part of Nigeria’s delegation to the 114th Session of the International Labour Conference, reportedly died on Tuesday after a brief illness.

According to reports, he became ill during the conference and was taken for medical treatment but later passed away.
The development was confirmed by an official of the Nigeria Labour Congress, who described Adeleke as a dedicated trade unionist committed to the welfare and well-being of workers.
“It is with deep sorrow that the Nigeria Labour Congress and the entire trade union movement in Nigeria, especially the 2026 Workers’ Delegates to the International Labour Conference, announce the passing of Comrade Domingo Michael Adeleke, who died today in Geneva after a brief illness while attending the 114th Session of the International Labour Conference,” the official said.
Further details on the circumstances surrounding his death are expected to be released later.
