Nigerian media personality Chinedu Ani Emmanuel, known as Nedu Wazobia, has officially announced his departure from The Honest Bunch podcast following backlash from a controversial episode featuring comedian Deeone.
The controversy began after Deeone accused social media critic VeryDarkMan (VDM) of being attracted to men. In response, VDM alleged that Nedu persistently invited him to the podcast since 2024 and even offered to buy him a car.
Taking to Instagram, Nedu explained that relentless scrutiny and unfounded accusations led him to make the difficult decision to step away. He stated that while hosting the podcast had been an enriching experience, the personal toll and antagonism surrounding his name made it necessary to prioritize his peace of mind, family, and the integrity of the show.
Nedu expressed gratitude to his supporters and hopes his exit will put an end to the controversy. He also wished the podcast continued success and hinted at pursuing future opportunities that align with his vision for open and meaningful discussions.
