The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has cautioned candidates registering for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) to avoid unapproved registration centres. The board warned that using unauthorized centres could lead to the invalidation of their registration.

JAMB’s Public Relations Officer in Jigawa State, Mukarram Adamu, issued the warning in a statement from Dutse, the state capital, highlighting the importance of registering at only approved Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres. So far, 1,021 candidates have registered in Jigawa State, contributing to the 201,867 candidates registered nationwide.

The board reassured candidates that the registration process would remain seamless and transparent at the designated CBT centres, which were established to prevent fraud and irregularities. Adamu further urged candidates to report any challenges or suspicious activities during registration while emphasizing JAMB’s commitment to ensuring efficiency in the process.

Candidates were strongly advised to use only authorized centres and report any malpractices to the appropriate authorities to avoid disqualification.
