Multichoice has announced an upward adjustment in the prices of its DStv and GOtv packages, set to take effect from March 1, 2025. The company disclosed this in a statement addressed to its customers on Monday.
The notice, titled “Price adjustments for DStv and GOtv packages,” explained that the changes are necessary to maintain the delivery of high-quality homegrown and international content using advanced technology.
This development comes nearly a year after the company’s last price review. With the new pricing, the DStv Compact bouquet will increase from N15,700 to N19,000, while the Compact Plus package will rise to N30,000. The Premium subscription will now cost N44,500.
Similarly, GOtv subscribers will experience price hikes, with the basic package increasing from N3,600 to N3,900. The GOtv Plus plan will move from N4,850 to N5,800, while the GOtv Max package will cost N8,500. The Supa package will now be N11,400, and the Supa Plus will rise to N16,800.
Multichoice attributed the adjustments to the rising cost of doing business in Nigeria. It cited factors such as the depreciation of the naira and soaring inflation, both of which have significantly increased its operational expenses.
