FIFA has announced the introduction of a special transfer window from June 1 to 10 for all clubs participating in this summer’s expanded FIFA Club World Cup.

The move is designed to accommodate player registrations ahead of the global tournament, which kicks off on June 14 in the United States.

“All 20 Member Associations whose clubs will participate in FIFA’s groundbreaking competition have confirmed the opening of an exceptional registration window from 1 to 10 June for all their affiliated clubs to allow new players signed to compete in the tournament,” FIFA stated on Wednesday.

In a further boost to club flexibility, FIFA also unveiled an in-competition transfer window scheduled from June 27 to July 3. This additional period will enable teams to make squad changes during the tournament itself.

“The objective is to encourage clubs and players whose contracts are expiring to find an appropriate solution to facilitate the players’ participation,” FIFA added. “This will ensure that the best players will be playing, allowing clubs to add new recruits even during the tournament.”

The 2025 edition of the Club World Cup will feature 32 teams for the first time and is set to take place from June 14 to July 13 across various venues in the United States.

What you should know
To ensure top talent features at the 2025 Club World Cup, FIFA has authorized two special transfer windows—June 1–10 for initial registrations and June 27–July 3 for mid-tournament additions.

The competition, expanded to 32 teams, will run from June 14 to July 13 in the U.S.
