Premier League heavyweights Chelsea have officially confirmed the appointment of Strasbourg manager Liam Rosenior as their new head coach, ending speculation over who would replace Enzo Maresca at Stamford Bridge.
In an announcement made by the club on Tuesday, Chelsea revealed that the English coach has agreed to a contract running until 2032. Reacting to his appointment, Rosenior said in a club statement that he was “extremely humbled and honoured to be appointed”.
“This is a club with a unique spirit and a proud history of winning trophies,” he added. “My job is to protect that identity and create a team that reflects these values in every game we play as we continue winning trophies.”

Earlier on Tuesday, Rosenior had described the Chelsea role as “an opportunity I cannot turn down” while speaking in Strasbourg, where he had been in charge before completing his move to London.
The 41-year-old steps into the role with Chelsea currently sitting fifth in the Premier League table as the club looks to stabilise and push for sustained success under new leadership.
