Barcelona have completed the signing of 19-year-old Swedish winger Roony Bardghji from FC Copenhagen, the Spanish champions confirmed on Monday.
“The winger has signed for the next four seasons, until June 30, 2029,” the club announced in a brief statement. While the exact transfer fee was not disclosed, reports in Spanish media indicate that the deal is worth approximately €2.5 million ($3 million).
Bardghji, who made his debut for Copenhagen in the 2021/2022 season, scored 15 goals in 84 appearances before a severe knee injury in May 2024 sidelined him for nearly a year. He returned to action in March 2025 and has now earned a chance to prove himself at one of Europe’s biggest clubs.

He becomes Barcelona’s second signing of the summer, following the arrival of goalkeeper Joan Garcia from Espanyol. Bardghji, a Sweden U21 international, is expected to join Barcelona’s pre-season squad, where new head coach Hansi Flick will assess whether he will be integrated into the first team for the 2025/2026 season.
